What a small world! Where in Colorado did you teach? I’m curious about the political climate in Washington vs. Colorado. Do you feel that you have more teacher autonomy in Washington?
At North High in Denver. SO MUCH more autonomy in Washington, and way better pay as well. My pay doubled when I went from CO to WA. WA is pretty against charter schools, so that’s a big difference as well.
I used to teach in Colorado too! Now in Washington. The political differences between the states (concerning education) are pretty crazy
